Our Grainline Gear pattern, Pieces of Eight, was the beginning of this lined vest made of eight fat quarters of discharged black fabric. This discharge was done with a discharge paste by an artist from whom I bought some of the pieces at a show, and other pieces which I did. An interesting button I had had for years proved exactly right for this vest. Size M. Garment measurements: Bust 41", Waist 40 1/2", Length from neck edge of shoulder seam to longest part of bottom edge 21 3/4". Maximum body measurements, over clothing, to wear this garment: Bust 38 1/2", Waist 37".
