Over the years, I have taught many classes on Checkerboard variations. In the many demos I have done to show students how to make checkerboards and all the variations I included in the classes, I amassed a large collection of what I began to call, "my checkerboard parts department." I the last couple of years, I have pulled out all the parts and started making small quilts from the parts and half finished parts that were begging to be used. This is one of those. The main background in this quilt is hand dyed cotton from Judy Robertson (Just Imagination from Washington State.) hand dyes from Cherrywood Fabrics and Kathleen Starr Fabrics are also included. 22 3/4" high X 22" wide. Machine Pieced and quilted cottons. Polyester batting.
