"Riverscape"

"Riverscape."  68 3/4" x 55". 1997.  Pieced with topstitched bias tape.  This quilt is an example of the Collage Curves technique that I have been using and teaching for over 25 years and was a featured chapter in my first book, "Design Essentials." published in 1998 by That Patchwork Place.  In this technique, I cut curvy edged pieces and mount them edge to edge on a foundation fabric, zig zag the pieces down and cover all the stitching with  self made bias tape, with is topstitched onto the quilt. Machine quilted.
