"Watercolor Quilt 4," Machine Pieced and Quilted, 27 1/4" wide X 31 1/2" high. Cotton, polyester batting. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, I taught Watercolor Quilts, inspired by the work of British Quiltmaker Dierdre Amsden. Dierdre gave me permission to teach her technique and I enjoyed teaching it for nearly a decade. I made many samples in this style for the class and got better at it with practice. Most things work that way! This little quilt is minimally quilted and may beg you for more quilting, but it will hold together nicely as is. Hanging sleeve and label are on the back.
